Thanks for you reply. The only anti-virus protection we have is AVG. I don't
think this is the problem because we let our virus protection expire for
awhile and before we knew it we were having serious problems (including the
OE6 problem I explained). Last week, we had the hard drive reformatted and
downloaded AVG, and although everything else is working great, we're still
having the OE6 problem. Any other ideas? Again, this problem occurs at the
same time on two machines on our network.

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant
layer of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving,
and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting
changes and has even been responsible for lose of messages. Your
up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For

Often lately, I can receive but not send email in OE6. The odd thing is
if the email is 1 line or less, it'll send, but the same email any longer
won't. I get the message that it has been unexpectantly terminated (error
0X800CCC0F). I've talked to my ISP several times and they say the problem
isn't on their end. They think it is a software problem. When this
happens, the same thing happens to the only other computer on our family
network that uses OE6. Usually, after a few days, OE starts working
properly again on both computers. Any ideas?
