After furious head scratching, bjw122 asked:

| Thanks Brian, that's a decent work around. However, I know that I've
| seen this done with Outlook Calender (even though I would really like
| it to work with Outlook Tasks) in version 2000. When doing this with
| the calender in Outlook 2000 it had something to do with setting the
| calender event up as a NetShow event (I think) but I can't remember
| any details and I'm hoping someone will be able to provide those in
| this thread.

|| Not with Outlook. Use Windows' task scheduler for that.
