Actually there is a way to do it. It has been a while (Palm Vx), so I don't
remember exactly how I did it. But it was one of the following:
1. Export from Palm to a csv file, then import to Excel or Access. I
believe custom mapping is then available.
2. 3rd party software like Chapura's Pocket Mirror or Intellisync. (some
versions of Palm PDA's come with a free verison, you may want to upgrade for
advanced functionality
3. If you haven't you could also check out:
http://www.palm.com/us/support/outlooksupport.html they have some free
Oulook Sync software depending on your Palm version.

Outlook does have custom fields, I just wonder if there's any way at

It would be up to your sync software to be able to move the data between the
custom fields on the PDA and in Outlook. Since Outlook itself can't export
or import custom fields, I'd be surprised if sync software does.
