See more detail when viewing distribution list
There is but not in dist lists.
Try using Phone List view of COntacts and adding fields or at least
Categorising people. You can then make dynamic groups email merge to them
etc. Much more...

How do I send same email to many contacts?
Change to Phone List view and then you can select a whole bunch of people.

Contacts list not all showing up in "TO" menu
right click the COntacts folder, properties, Outlook Address book , tck he
box to display as an address book.

Contact email list
Highlight all recipients. Tools | Mailmerge | to email | fill in the
subject line | OK. Word starts. Use the Insert Merge Fields button to
selelct First Name etc and then clikc Merge to...

Use the Field chooser to add the To.. field and remove the From... field.

Using Outlook to create/read mailing lists
Why don't you just do an email merge from the selected records from Access
or Excel? No need to relate to Contacts at all.
Or alternatively, hold all of the data in Contacts and select the people...

Outlook 2003 - name resolution - cache

autocompletion file.
To clear a couple of entries, type an email that makes the name appear use
the arrow keys to highlight the one...

what do you mean by "based on a spreadsheet"
If the people you wish to merge to are in Contacts, then select them, Tools
| Mailmerge | merge to email | write the subject and OK. Word starts up....

Automatic Labelling, NOT just colour
I think you want to Edit the Label names. Right click an existing
appointment | Labels | Edit Labels. Now you can make red = birthday for
example. I hope that is what you wanted.

Contact Problem
To put them all in 1 folder, select all entries in the Contacts 1 folder
(highlight them) and drag them to the other folder.
It's best to have 1 folder.
