Thank you, that was precisely the problem. Changed my code to mark all
incoming messages as read for testing, and worked like a charm. I was a
little lost because all the examples I found...

NewMailEx Only provides First e-mail in inbox

When using NewMailEx to get a list of received e-mails, EntryIDCollection
will only return the very first e-mail received, even if 10-15 e-mails come
in at the same time.

Checking attachments as they arrive

Anyway, so after a couple more hours of searching I discovered the simple
fact that I can set outlook to run a script from a rule, so now I just have
it running my attachment checking script on...

Checking attachments as they arrive

Every time one (or more) e-mails arrive I need to be able to check the name
of an attachment and if it contains certain words, we'll just use example
as the word for this, I want to mark it as...
