Using advanced find works if I choose the 'advanced tab' and pick 'define
more criteria' then 'frequently used fields' then 'message' then 'add' then
type in the part number that I want to...

It will find text numbers not converted to hyperlink but it says 'there are
no items to show in this view' if you try advanced search for part of a
converted tel No. It will find the full number,...

This is concerning searching a telephone number which has been inputed into
an appointment, not a contact. Open an appointment then type tel:000000 or
whatever number you wish, then...

How would you search for part of a number. ie if you only knew part of the
telephone number (and that part could be in the middle or the end)

I cant seem to search for telephone numbers once they have been altered in a
hyperlink ie when you type tel:0111122223 followed by either a space or
return in an appointment.
