How do you remove the "Previous Appointment" tabs in the calen

I'm only seeing one. Office 2007 was just installed last week.

Okay...how do I get access to my "default calendar" and can I change the
defaults once I have access?

I don't have more than one calendar visible. I have no other calenders to
check or uncheck. What is an overlay? How did the calendar acquire the
handles? Why on earth did anyone think this...

I really don't see any use for the tabs and I find them annoying. Can anyone
help me remove them?
