Found an answer, to right click the photos and send to mail recipient.

Photo size
I remember OE telling me it could reduce the size of photos to be sent
but it doesn't any more. How do I reinstate this option?

How to find default e-mail client?
I think that is probably the answer, though I visit the Office update
site quite often and I don't recall it happenning before. Nut then I
don't get too many updates for Office 2000 these...

Outlook as the default (which I have never configured). What bothers me

I get an OE New Message window. But then, I'm using OE to read this,
having said I don't want to set it as the default client.
