sometimes when I get a link for an email and I click on the link it opens in
Microsoft outlook instead of Outlook express. Is there a way so that all

email very slow

I have had this happen twice, OE 6.0 trying to download 3 emails but `timing
out` so cant get at my incoming email, the last time I did a reboot and that

compacting folders

Damn thing has done it again!
Compacted all my folders/emails and deleted them and not realising I empted
my recycle bin and have lost the lot.

Is there a way to stop it compacting folders.

Ah, maybe I have panicked too soon without checking properly, I will send
myself a couple of test emails and see what happens to them when it asks to
compact.
