IE7/OE very slow system since upgrading

May be coincidental, but ever since upgraded to IE7 my system is extremely slow. Anyone else experiencing this, or is it just XMAS trade?

I am awaiting receipt of a promo code from a website. To date I don't think I have had any difficulties in receiving email but notice that when I click on the send/receive button to refresh the site...

SPAM - how can I get rid of?

I am inundated with spam advertising all sorts. I use Block Sender but now have 100+ entries. What else can I do to protect myself etc?
