How to exit design mode in VBA when a message described here comes

I am trying to create a macro in VBA but somehow have ended up in the design
mode and can not figure out how to exit this moe. in order to create the
macro I can't be in the design mode. When I try to exit I receive "The
macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros.

I don't consider myself computer illiterate but for the life of me I can not
figure out what to do. I've tried everything I know with searching the help
using every possible input I can think of and can find nothing. I'm so
frustrated I'm about ready to give up and go back to using the outlook
express and lose many of the functions that outlook has. The main thing I'm
trying to create the macro for is for changing the save as for pictures as
..bmp to .gif and I have the procedure down but can not procede in the design
mode.

Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks

In Outlook (not VBA editor), please click on Tools/Macros/Security and set
the security to allow VBA. Then restart Outlook.

How to exit design mode in VBA when a message described here c

Thank you so much. Now I'll go back and try to make the change so that
outlook will accept .gif animated pictures and .jpg pictures without having
the .bmp show up. Am keeping fingers crossed it goes right this time.

Again, thanks.
