Default Backup external application

Hi
Is it possible to program Outlook 2003 running on Exchange 2003 to backup an
Excel Spreadsheet every Friday.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I want to back up every Friday and save it
with a new name. I can write this in Excel, but my problem is that I am only
in every other Friday so won't be able to open the spreadsheet to run the
macro. I do have Outlook running on Exchange and was wondering if it was
possible to program Outlook/Exchange to back this file up. Unfortuneately I
cannot get access to the Exchange Server to modify this. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Outlook doesn't run on Exchange server (unless you have a weird and probably unsupported configuration). Outlook runs on a client workstation. If you're not in, then Outlook likely isn't running either and therefore no Outlook VBA code will run.
