I have a client that upgraded their Exchange server over the weekend. The old
server was named "apples". The new server is named "oranges". They have 200 desktops using Outlook 2000. What is the easiest method to change the Exchange server name on each client machine? Thanks! |

You need to use the Office Resource Kit to deploy or update Outlook settings
on multiple clients: Profile Wizard - Office 2000 Resource Kit - Microsoft Office Online: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/or...383111033.aspx BTW, this newsgroup is specifically for programming questions. -- Eric Legault (Outlook MVP, MCDBA, MCTS: Messaging & Collaboration) Try Picture Attachments Wizard for Outlook: http://www.collaborativeinnovations.ca Blog: http://blogs.officezealot.com/legault/ "E-Coder" wrote: I have a client that upgraded their Exchange server over the weekend. If they use the Profile Wizard, will that affect their current settings
(customizations and shortcuts)? The reason we posted to this group is because we wanted to see if writing some VBA Code may be an alternative route. You need to use a commercial API called Redemption which includes a ProfMan
library that will allow you to manipulate Outlook profiles with code: http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/ -- Eric Legault (Outlook MVP, MCDBA, MCTS: Messaging & Collaboration) Try Picture Attachments Wizard for Outlook: http://www.collaborativeinnovations.ca Blog: http://blogs.officezealot.com/legault/ "E-Coder" wrote: If they use the Profile Wizard, will that affect their current settings (customizations and shortcuts)?
