Turn off new email message

I need a way of turning off the message that says a 'new email message has
been recieved.' Currently i am converting a email message to a task, which
goes fine, however I still am getting a 'new email recieved' message.

I have a outlook rule that deletes the email message, but before it is
deleted a notification comes up that 'new mail has arrived'. When I click on
'yes' to proceed, another message appears saying that the item has been moved
or deleted(which it has).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Turn off new email message

You can configure new e-mail alert settings via Tool - Options -
Preferences - E-mail Options - Advanced E-mail Options.
