Default Spell check Problem

I have MS Office Standard 2007. Using Word, the Spell checker works
perfectly. Using Outlook Express 6 ver.6.00.2900.2180, for Newsgroups, I
have a problem. The checker tries to change correctly spelled words in
English to French! Need Help.(Took ten minutes to type this) finaly refused
Checker I/O to send.
