I am having this same problem. I have installed all windows updates.
I am running Outlook 2003 on Vista Home Premium. HP Pavillion a1712n. When Outlook crashes a dialog box comes up stating Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working Windows can check online for a soultion When I click on check online for a solution and close program" I get another dialog "Problem Reports and Solutions" which has a link "Get the update from the Office Update website" but because I'm running Vista the Office Online update site does not allow office updates independently. I need to run Vista's Update service. Vista's update service says. "Windows is up to date" So either the diagnosis is wrong and there is no update or the Office update site is brain dead and blocking Office updates in favor of the Vista. Really dumb in my opinion. If someone from microsoft is monitoring this, please respond. -- Don L. update: I was able to get into Outlook by clicking on file-workoffline. I
turned off automatic send receive of emails and Outlook stays up. The appcrash occurs when we check email. The profile checks three different pop3 email accounts. When one of them is off Outlook is fine. When one is on Outlook crashes. We exported the all data to a PST and loaded it onto a Windows XP/Office 2003 machine and he same crash is occurring. It appears there is something in the data that is causing the crash when Outlook does a send receive with the one POP3 account. -- Don L. "Donald" wrote: I am having this same problem.
