Default Bottom of Contact Form is not being displayed

Hi. On my laptop the bottom of the standard Contact form is not being
displayed. This means that the Contact button and box are not displayed. I
use this box to link Project Entries to individuals associated with the
project. I have tried created a custom form region via steps shown in this
discussion group and it too is missing from the Contact form - there is no
'collapsible region' displayed. Can anyone help?

We can guess from your description that you're using Outlook 2007. (Next time, remember that it helps to specify that in your post.) In Outlook 2007, the Contacts box for linking items to contacts does not appear by default. You will need to turn it on -- Tools | Options | Contact Options | Show Contact Activity Information on All Forms.

Why your region isn't appearing is another matter, probably due to a mistake in the manifest or registry values.

Thanks for the fast response. Yes, Outlook 2007. Clicking on 'Show Contact
Linking on all Forms' fixed my initial problem. As far as the custom region
is concerned, I followed your post for showing Birthday and Age via a Region.
When that didn't work, I tried adding \\ to the path entry (Windows Registry
Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outloo k\FormRegions]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outloo k\FormRegions\IPM.Contact]

"contactcustomregion"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\msr\\My
Documents\\Outlook\\Custom Form Regions\\contactcustomregion.xml") but that
didn't work either. Any ideas?

If you run Regedit.exe and bring up that registry value, can you copy and paste the path into IE and see the manifest? If not, the path is incorrect.

If you can, then the problem probably lies with the manifest.
