As you may know, the prominently displayed “Delete” button in an Outlook
(2003 and 2007) distribution list dialog will NOT delete the highlighted item, but WILL delete the entire distribution list. What is supposed to happen is that the deleted list goes into the “deleted items” folder, from which it can be restored. This has happened to me before, and I know that it worked the way it is supposed to on at least one occasion. Today, however, I went to delete two names from a distribution list, selected the first, hit “Delete,” and the entire list was gone. A quick Bing told me to restore it from the “Deleted Items” folder, but, Lo! and behold! It was not there. More Binging, and I found that this has happened to others... so - how do I recover a deleted distribution list - and why does id not go into the deleted items folder? thanks in advance. Michael |
