I have deleted an email group of about 25 names. Is there anyway to recover
this information? |

I am working with Outlook 2007. The group I am refering to was an email
contact group. I looked in deleted folder, not there, I even went to restore and restored previous settings to the day before, it didn't restore that email contact group. This is the one thing about Outlook I hate, this is not the first time I have done this. It doesn't ask you if your sure you want to delete this group it's just gone and I can't find it anywhere and beleive me I have looked everywhere that I know to look. What's an "email group"? What version of Outlook? Did you look in your "Deleted Items" folder yet? Anything you delete in Outlook, unless you specifically permanently delete it, will be there. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

... I am working with Outlook 2007. The group I am refering to was an email contact group. There is no such thing in Outlook called an "email contact group". Perhaps you mean a Distribution List. I looked in deleted folder, not there, Unless you emptied the Deleted Items folder, it would have been there. By default, the Deleted Items folder is sorted by a date value. If you had your DL for a long time, it would probably have been quite early in the list. Sorting by the Icon column would have made it easier for you to find. I even went to restore and restored previous settings to the day before, it didn't restore that email contact group. Restore points don't work with data files. This is the one thing about Outlook I hate, this is not the first time I have done this.
