Default Add a Microsoft Word letter to all Outlook contacts

I wasn't trying to make it hard for everyone. I didn't know what the process
was called, I just knew there had to be an easier way then how I was doing it
before. I didn't know what I was trying to do was called 'mass mailings'
until I finally found something said in my outlook help. My 'mass mailings'
consists of 20 contacts. Thank you again for all the help and quick
responses!

Good on you for finally mentioning that this requirement is for "mass
mailings" Now we can surmise that want you want is a record of what you
emailed (possibly by merging) to a large number of people. You made this
hard for those trying to help you!

Thank You Sue, Thank You! I tried this and it works great! This really
saves me from having to go into each contact for my mass mailings. I
really
appreciate you taking the time to answer my question and for understanding
it. Thank You!

linked contacts, make as many copies of the item as you need to link all
the contacts, so many for each item.

YES it does. It means you then open the document and that contact as a
pointer to that file that you can open. And he want to do it for all the
contacts. Makes good since.

For example. I write a spec on a job. I want 50 of the contacts who are on
tehat job to list that document. This way when I open up that contact you
see that document and can open it. This is a feature of simple products like
ACT! and Goldmine.

Support is rather mentally slow here not understanding how a simple CRM like
Outlook should function.

What do you mean? This makes no sense.

Ok. I have a Microsoft Word document. I would like to attach that
document
to all my contacts in Micrsoft Outlook. How can I do this?

I know I could open Microsoft Outlook and open each contact and add a
journal entry for each, but I have too many contacts.

Please help.

Excellent Sue - someone who know their product.

Wrong - email is not mailing no matter what MS thinks. This was not for
emailing but likning a file on hte HD to each client.

Judy you need more work with understanding your product and how it works in
the real world.

First, this isn't "Outlook support". Second, Outlook is not a CRM. Perhaps
it is not we who lack understanding.

The previous post is from womeone isted as a MVP OUTLOOK and I was told by MS
support that this would be a MS employee. So that is the direction of my
response - to gather a response to MS. So far when somehting does not work,
is removed, or just badly done MS has an excuse or ususally no response and
poor support. I was hoping for a response as to a legitimate reason (as
there might be a good reason for the design) or an "OK we goofed good Idea
for next product." As a user we never know Whether MS supports their
products as their new products demonstrate they do not have a clue to the
real world and prove they think a prettier interface is more important than
substance.

Sorry - when I purchased support from MS and was sent to an employee in India
and he searched this site to give me support and could not answer the
question as I had already looked at this site. He told teh (the MS employee)
that the MVP was an MS employee. Sorry for the misdirected anger

As a matter of fact, if any MVP subsequently becomes an employee of Microsoft, the MVP award is withdrawn as it is a conflict of interest. See http://mvp.support..microsoft.com for information about the MVP program.
