I had a significant crash & I had to reload XP from scratch.
Reloaded Office 2003 with no problem. I keep my Outlook.pst file in a folder that was unaffected. I can view all my contacts, but when I try to insert them in the addressee field, I get an error message, "The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened.... I exported the contacts and imported it, but the error keeps coming up. On the left upper side of my contacts window, I have a "Contacts" and below it I have a "Contracts in Personal folders." They both display the same contacts. What can I do to return things to normal? Thanks, Dennis |

I solved my problem thanks to Russ' answer to the posting before mine. I
removed my Outlook address book & re established it. Works just as before. thanks, Dennis "Dennis Hughes" wrote in message ... I had a significant crash & I had to reload XP from scratch. Better check your Contacts now to be sure they're alright. Exporting and
importing Outlook Data is a good way to lose or misdirect that information. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Dennis Hughes" wrote in message ...
