Default cant' add contact in outlook

When I go to add a contact i get a new window "Location Information" wanting
my area code and country/region drop down menu. I'm to choose what country I
live in but the list is EMPTY! My Regional/Language settings in control
panel is fine.
I just bought OUtlook2007 hoping it would fix the problem in Outlook 2003
but to no avail! Same problem!
Thanks for you response in advance!

Sounds like you have a third-party contact add-in.

GOrdon: Thanks for the response. I 'm not aware of have any 3rd party
contact software apart from the fact I have Palm Software installed. Would
that be the problem?
Thnaks again

Default cant' add contact in outlook

Go to Control panel, Phone and modem options and set up your calling
information. That should fix it.

Diane:
I went to phone & modem options. That is precisely the screen I get when
trying to enter a new contact and that country drop down box is empty. So at
least now I know that the phone modem thing is the problem. How do I get the
country list in there?
Thanks again.

That is a windows feature... google found this article:
http://windowsitpro.com/article/arti...-location.html -
I don't think this is exactly this because if telephony is not started, I
don't think you'll get the dialog.

Also see this thread:
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/...options-p.aspx

if neither help, you'll need to ask in the windows newsgroups on this
server.
