Outlook 2007 and Windows Mobile
I use Outlook and there are both Contacts and Personal Contacts. When I sync
with my Samsung Mobile Phone running Windows Mobile 6.1, it only syncs with the Contacts and does not have the Personal Contacts. Is there a way to have them both sync or if not, can you easily combine the PST contacts with Contacts? -- Mark from San Diego |

... I use Outlook and there are both Contacts and Personal Contacts. When I sync with my Samsung Mobile Phone running Windows Mobile 6.1, it only syncs with the Contacts and does not have the Personal Contacts. Neither ActiveSync (Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) can sync with any but the delivery location folders. There are third-party sync tools, like Chapura PocketMirror, that can sync folders other than the defaults. Is there a way to have them both sync or if not, can you easily combine the PST contacts with Contacts? It's fairly easy to copy or move the contents of a non-default contacts folder to the default Contacts folder. Select all, EditCopy (or Move) to Folder. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
