Catagories

Outlook 2007: Contacts folder I have 15 catagories, example: Bob's, boating,
health etc. Recently acquied a smartphone and before syncing it I wanted to
organize my contacts. I moved some entries from one catagory to another by
drag and drop. No issues here except - Every contact moved acquired a date
and time stamp in the notes area of the contact entry. This of course synced
to my phone. Now I have several hundred entries in the contacts, each of
which has in the notes field december 17, 2008 and the time I moved it. I can
remove them one at a time but would like to know how to turn this feature off
for the future and if there is a quick way to remove all the entries in the
notes field.

Catagories

You might check your Addins, Outlook itself doesn't add a time stamp to the
notes field when you edit a contact.
