We do NOT use Microsoft Exchange Servers for email, and email server is at
corporate anyway. We use Office 2003. What I looking for is a LOCAL way to emulate the Microsoft Exchange function of ADDING a Contact Group to a user's Outlook Contacts. Hopefully a click on file method. |

Post is too unclear. State your mail account type. Define your unique terms
such as "Contact Group." Outlook uses no such term so we have no idea what you mean by it. Clarify what function it is you want to "emulate." -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Tecknomage" wrote in message news ![]() We do NOT use Microsoft Exchange Servers for email, and email server is at corporate anyway. You mean to share contacts with the other users? You'll need a utility that
supports sharing. OK, use wrong term. I meant Distribution List.

Still requires someone to read your mind. Post is patently unclear.

You can't share anything easily without exchange, but you can send DL around
to other users. Try can drag it off the email and drop it in their contacts. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Thanks, that works as far as Distribution Lists.
But, I'm trying to satisfy a request form a user, which I am not sure I can do without MS Exchange. The user wants a way to update her Outlook Contacts buy loading a file. A way that does NOT evolve manually changing individual Contacts. Our problem is, we have a series of people that are forced to change their email provider, so their email address domain will change. She thinks we should be able to provide a way for everyone to update these users email automatically. I stress, I'm not sure we can do this, but I promised I would look for an answer.
