Default Using an Excel spreadsheet as a custom control in the design a for

I am using Office XP Profesional, outlook 2002.

I am desiging a custom form, using the contact template. On one of the
pages I have imbeded an Excel Spreadsheet by selecting it from the Custom
Controls tool box.

When I publish my newly redesigned contact it retains all the information I
need, however. When I open the new contact enter information into the spread
sheet save and close the contact. Then reopen to view the information on the
contacts spreadsheet all the data in the spreadsheet is gone.

How do I get the spreadsheet to save the date when I save a close my contact?

You must put code behind the form to store the data when the item is saved
and read it into the control when the item opens. See

FYI, there is a newsgroup specifically for Outlook forms issues "down the
hall" at microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms or, via web interface, at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...rogram_f orms

Thanks Sue... This is great information.. Now the problem i have is the code
itself. I am at a loss as to how to create a code to do this. I thought
after reading the information you link I could copy and paste the code for
the handleing Data header in you first link but I get error mesages when I
chose the form I have just pubilshed.

In this contact as well I have other custom feilds that matain data in the
form of mulitiline notes fields and message feilds and i do not want to
dsirupt the data in these feilds.

Any suggestions for me, I really am new at this sort of thing.
