2 colleagues sharing contacts with exchange
Hi,
We are 2 colleagues using Outlook 2003 at work with exchange server. We have a lot of customers with contact details which we would like to share. We are synchronizing our phones with the laptops/exchange as well. How can we set up shared contacts without sharing the main "contact" on our account? If I set up a new data file with contacts it will not "synchronize" with the main "contact" list for my account and does not subsequently get into my phones list. |

what sync software do you use? Activesync only syncs one contact folder -
your default one. If you use Exchange, a public folder is good for sharing with others, especially if you need to use it as an address book for email. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Hi,
Using Activesync to get them onto the phone. Since we have to share some and have our private in another folder. The problem then is that only the default one get onto the phone. Need all synched to have email and phone numbers avaliable everywhere since we are travelling a lot. One way might be (if it is possible) that our default one is synched and we use the Company field to have each our "private company with private numbers" to get an easy overview on the phone. ?
