Do you have access to the old computer? If so, add all the categories to an
item - then copy the list of categories from the 'items belong to these categories' field in the categories dialog (or from the categories field on the item) and paste it into a text file. move it to the new computer and paste the list into that field. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. ![]() The two suggestions made in this thread depend on your outlook version. More comfortable, and independent from the used Outlook version, does it work with Category Manager (link in my signature). You can import, and export your categories, and add them easily from items to the Master Category List. -- Best regards Michael Bauer - MVP Outlook : Outlook Categories?
