Default Custom field sync with HP IPAQ rx 3000 series?

I have Microsoft Outlook 2002 (as well as 2007) running on a Windows Vista
machine. I have created a new contact form based upon the default that has
additional custom fields.

I also have an HP IPAQ rx 3000 series pocket pc running windows mobile
2003SE. I can sync my contacts from the computer to my pocket pc, but none
of the custom fields are showing. I'm displaying the contacts in the
'default' contacts program on the pocket pc (choosing 'contacts' from the
home screen).

How can I sync and view the custom fields as well? Do I need a 3rd party
app. to do this? If so, what is available? Or can this be done somehow
within outlook itself?

Any suggestions/help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Custom fields are never synched - how would your PPC know that they exist? Third party tools would probably be the best way to go but you should really check with the folks in microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync to see what is available. Outlook has no part in the synching except as the repository for your data.
