How to show associated names with e-mail addresses
Sometimes when receiving an e-mail from a distribution list I will notice an
associated name with each e-mail address in the list while at other times when receiving an e-mail from a distribution list I will not see a name associated with any e-mail address in said distribution list How do you send a distribution list with a name associated with each e-mail address in said list ? Does this feature depend on the e-mail program or e-mail provider ? Thanks in advance for your response |

How to show associated names with e-mail addresses
I thought it might have something to do with the e-mail software that the
sender is using Are you saying that only certain e-mail software programs allow the sending of an associated name with each e-mail address and if so what e-mail software programs allow the sending of an associated name or (2) are you saying that the sending of an associated name has something to do with the way the sender enters the e-mail address in the To: field and if so how should enter the associated name and e-mail address be entered in said To: field Thanks in advance for your reply "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: That format is determined by the sender's email software. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Howard" wrote in message ... Email software varies in the format it uses for what you see in the To:
field. Even successive versions of Outlook vary in how they configure the Email Display As... field. That field is of no consequence whatsoever since both name and email address are always visible the the Internet Header of any message. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Howard" wrote in message ...
