Default how do I set up format for phone numbers, parentheses vs dashes

I am synching outlook to my blackberry. the phone #'s on my blackberry have
dashes eg xxx-xxx-xxxx vs outlook that sets up phone #'s as (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

Is there anyway to format outlook to be the same as my Blackberry.
xxx-xxx-xxxx

anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

No - Windows/Outlook masking of the phone numbers is hard coded.
