Hows does one show all emails received from and/or sent to a particular
contact? I understand how to show all from a particular email address (open an email - related - messages from sender), but some of of my contacts use multiple email addresses and it is annoying to add them in manually each time I do a search. I have their email addresses saved in their contact information, so is there a way to easily show all messages from that particular contact? While we're at it: is there a way to add more than 3 email addresses to a contact? Some of the people I correspond with overseas use up to 8 addresses (crazy foreigners). Thanks! |

Why wouldn't you be using the Activities Tab for this? That's what it's for.

Here is an interesting follow-up question:
When using gmail/IMAP, some emails from my foreign contacts do not appear when searching through activities. I researched which emails this was happening to and found that for some reason outlooks displays those emails as from: Name: [email address changed] Email address: =?EUC-KR?B?yLK+xrinIDxyZXVtaW9AYXZhbG9uLmNvLmtyPg==?= Now, I tried double clicking on the "from" line and changing how the name/address is displayed, but it reverts back to how it was as soon as I leave that message screen. The result is many emails not appearing in the activities search for that contact (or in a xobni search for that contact). However, this is not a problem when using web-based gmail or outlook with a POP3 connection--the "from" field appears completely normal and the emails appear in an activities search. Is there a solution to this problem (I apologize if this is also relatively obvious--I am new to Outlook)? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Why wouldn't you be using the Activities Tab for this? IMAP and foreign contacts are important details you managed to leave out of
your posts until now. I have no idea. Good luck to you. Always post complete details if you actually expect help from a newsgroup. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Scott L" wrote in message news ![]() Here is an interesting follow-up question: When using gmail/IMAP, some emails from my foreign contacts do not appear when searching through activities. That information (gmail/IMAP and foreign contacts) was only necessary for the
follow-up question--the original was answered fine without the clutter. Thanks for the info nonetheless. Does anyone know the answer? Also, what about the other, small question at the bottom: Does anyone know
how to add more than three email addresses to a contact? "Scott L" wrote: Hows does one show all emails received from and/or sent to a particular contact? You can't.
