It is not necessary to create a separate Contacts Folder for a mail merge if
you start the merge from Outlook. Just select the category first, then perform the merge to "selected Contacts." -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Pat P" wrote in message ... You and I did this once before, didn't we? I forgot about this then, and still don't remember it. Maybe I'll finally get it through my head. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Thank you for your input the step that I was missing is click on first name
in the categoty and then hold down shift and click on the last name in category to highlight only the catagory that I wanted. I have it working now. Hi Pat,
I start by sorting by categories then highlighting the category I want to merge then go to mail merge. "Pat P" wrote: Hi, I am very new to this program so I need a bit of help.
