I have set up several versions of my Contact List for forwarding e mails w/o
covering the sender. Periodically many of my contacts ask that I not send mail because they will be out of town. Without going through and manually deleting a contact from each of the lists (in this case 26 lists) is there another way to temporarily remove a contact? In a perfect world this would also have an option for the time period that the contact would be deleted. If I delete/change the address in the Contacts list in my address book it does not change it in does not change it in the contacts list. Any suggestions? |

Suggest defining for us what you mean by "contact list." Outlook uses no
such term so only you know what it means. Include your Outlook version when you post a question. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "jap" wrote in message ... Office/Outlook 2007
By "contacts list" I refer to a list of contacts in my Address Book. When ever you send an e-mail you select the "To" box and a list of contacts comes up. This in fact is from your contacts list. I have created a separate list for forwarding an e-mail to others w/o covering the originator. Does this clear up your questions? jp "jap" wrote: I have set up several versions of my Contact List for forwarding e mails w/o covering the sender. Not at all. The address book contains no data and only displays various
addresses and items that you have created in your Contact Folders. We still have no idea to which type of item you are referring when you use a term like "contact list" that has no meaning to anyone else. 1. Individual electronic addresses? 2. Distribution Lists? 3. Separate Contact Folders? Seems to me that for what you want you would use a Distribution List, which in Outlook 2007 can be expanded before sending so you can eliminate recipients on a one time basis without altering the DL. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "jap" wrote in message ...
