I'm on a corporate Outlook server that has been configured to sync with
blackberries. I'd like to create a folder of contacts that do not sync with the blackberry. Is there a way to tag/filter/catagorize contacts so that some are not synced? |

does the blackberry only sync with the main contacts folder? if so create a
second folder and move contacts to it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Jason" wrote in message ... I tried that. I created another contacts folder and it still syncs.

I use the latest version of active synch. i have looked but have not found a way to add sycnching options other than selecting/deselecting the default folders? any ideas? is it advisable to create a folder in outlook and move ny non current contacts there so activesynch wont look for them |

Also not an Outlook issue. Syncing never is.

The best way, in my opinion, to handle this with ActiveSync is to move the contacts you don't wish to sync to another contact folder, since ActiveSync will sync only the default folders. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
