Default How can a user update their contact info in the Global Address Lis

In the older versions of exchange there was a utility that allowed the
enduser to update their own contact information in the Global Address List.
Is there anything like that for Exchange 2003

Why did you post an Exchange question in an Outlook group?

He posted it here because he is using Outlook and he uses
Exchange for his Email Server. It is a legit question in a
legit group.

However, If you used a utility for this in the past, I would
assume that it was an addin utility, provided by your Exchange
Administrators. It is not native to Exchange.

There is a form that can be used to do this, I'm blanking on the
name of it, but your Exchange Administrator should be able to
help you.

No sir, I referred him to his own Exchange Administrator. The
form is built to work in Outlook.

I guess I don't understand the difference. Outlook end users are far less
likely to be able to figure out how to make an Exchange utility work than
those familiar with Exchange. I thought they'd fare better posting in an
Exchange group. So far, that seems to be the case.

It's not answerable in the Exchange group either. The general client will
not be able to give enough information to the Exchange Group to get a
usable answer. The original utility was included in the Xcng 5.0 (i think).
It worked reasonably well for the environment.

Now there is the question of how to implement the utility. It now
requires the security be set in the Active Directory, and that needs to
be set up, based on Whether you are going to have the client access
the utility via the WEB, SharePoint, etc., all of which may require more
security. It has become much more complicated than it used to be.

At this point, it really is up to her Exchange Admin to look into the
use of the utility. And whether or not it is a viable option for them
anymore.
