Default Outlook 2007 - Distribution list does not print members on first p

When printing a distribution list from Contacts using Outlook 2003, all
information from the distribution list including members names is printed on
one page. Using Outlook 2007, the mailbox owner's name and Distribution List
Name print on the first page and the list of members are being printed on the
second page. How can I get everything to print on one page?

You can't. DL's are a largely abandoned feature which cannot be customized
in any way.

I did find a work around to print the list, but it prints in notepad:

Open the distribution list
Click the drop-down arrow on the SEND button
Click “In Internet Format (vCard)
Double-click the attachment
Click File
Click Print
Select the correct printer
Click OK

Since you say the distribution lists "are a largely abandoned feature," does
this mean they will be "going away" and replaced with something else? Are
user's supposed to use something else for distribution lists?

I doubt they are going away. They just aren't undergoing any further
development. DL's have never been a reliable or robust feature. Microsoft
focuses all it's development and attention on the Contact Folder interface,
not the address book interface. They appear to expect us to use Categories
in lieu of DL's.

I guess I'm missing something regarding Categories. I am at a college and we
have literally a hundreds of distribution lists based on class years, class
schedules, departments, committees, etc. How does Categories work in lieu of
DL's?

Yes, I read it. I also said I must be missing something regarding
categories. I will try to figure it out by researching categories and
dynamic distribution lists when I have the time.

The information in the link you provided was this:

"Did you know you can use Categories to create dynamic distribution lists in
your Contacts folder? When you need to add or remove names from a group
mailing list, you only need to add the category to or remove it from the
contacts. When an email address changes, you only need to update their
contact form, not the distribution lists they are members of.

Send a message or meeting request to the group or create appointments or
tasks, by opening the Contacts folder and use the Group By Category view and
select the desired group. Choose the desired action from the Actions menu."

Or if you prefer, you could just clarify your question. The question you
asked here was answered. Perhaps you were trying to ask something else.
