business card images in contact notes

I have business card scanning hardware and software that captures the card
image and also OCR's the information on the card. It exports to Outlook
contacts and puts the business card image in notes. However, the image of the
card is not rendered when displaying the contact. Instead, I get an icon with
the name of the JPEG image file. Does anybody know how to get the image
rendered within the notes display section? Is there some kind of OLE setup I
can do or a relevant plugin?

I don't believe the notes pane is capable of displaying an image.
