I'm using Outlook 2003 v11.8169.8172 SP3 under Office Pro 2003 in a
corporate/Exchange environment. Running WinXP Pro SP2. Is there any way to get the Notes field to forward when using the Forward as vCard button (or just CTRL-F) to send a Contact to someone who is outside of our network domain? FWDing by either of those methods internally works just fine, but sending them elsewhere (read: to any address outside of our local network, even if they use our same email domain name) leaves the Notes field blank. We can export to vCard or RTF and send *that* (RMB Send To mail recipient), and it works -- the Notes show up even in vCards if we do that. In other words: - email to (in our building): Notes field carries over - email to (not in our building): Notes field does not carry over - email to (not in our building): Notes field does not carry over I've been asked to see if there's a way to do auto-include the notes on the one-click version (ctrl-F) without going thru the extra steps or cluttering up our folders with tons of vCard files, as we have the need to send these out quite often. Some posts I have seen here say that this was a bug back in SP1 that has since been fixed, while a more recent one suggests that this is just how Outlook "works", ie, that it is intentional. Can anyone help? Thanks! |

Save the vCard to your hard drive and then insert it into a RTF message to send with complete notes.
