Forward Free Text in Outlook Contacts (Outlook 2003)
Hi, When I forward a Contact as a V Card the free text (this is the large
box under the "IM Address" box) does not go with the V Card. In other words when the person at the other end opens the V Card, everything except the free text is shown. This did not used to happen - What did I do? Michael

Forward Free Text in Outlook Contacts (Outlook 2003)
If you want the notes section to go with the contact item, you must insert the item in a Rich Text Formatted message to have everything go with it.

Just to clarify for this slow Aussie! When I am in the contact, if I go "ACTION", "FORWARD AS A V CARD", do I just need to make sure that the email is in HTML format and then the Notes section of the Contact will be included when the person I am sending to get the email and the V Vard? I just tested an forwarded a V Card (opened CONTACT then selct ACTION and then selet FORWARD AS A V CARD) but changed the email from HTML to PLain Text and then sent it to myself - all the NOTES in the Contact came thru OK. format and select "INSERT" I do ot have an option to select ITEM like you are saying am using Outlook 2003 SP 3) - am I doing something wrong? Also wehn I used to use FORWARD AS A V CARD, the notes all went OK - so I think something has changed - just not sure what! Are you using Word as your message editor? If yes, then use the paperclip dropdown to select "item."
