Since I migrated from XP & Outlook 2003 to Vista & Outlook 2007, the "Search
Address Books" on the Mail section of Outlook cannot seem to find them. When I try to add "Contacts" or changed the name to "Friends," the "Show this folder as an address book" under Properties is grayed out, whether I run as an administrator or not. I have struggled with this for two months and have not been successful. I have seen it referenced a number of times, but the suggestions (as I have interpreted them) have not worked. I would be grateful for suggestions, especially of the non-humiliating variety. Ken O PS If it has to do with my "profile" for some reason I just do not know how to do this. |

Thanks, still no joy. Actually Control PanelUser AccountsMail.
But that did not work. I know .pst is a suffix, but I do not know what my "current pst" is. When I made the new profile (old is "Outlook," new "kpo"), nothing was in the file called "Contacts." (I assume because I did not set the pst correctly.) I will go back and see if I can figure it out. KenO "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Try making a new profile. use the detailed view in windows explorer and go by the date on the pst (if
you have several) and the file size. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Ken O" wrote in message ...
