Default Contact Script not working in Outlook 2003

I installed a script in Outlook 2003 to make all my old contacts use the new
custom contact template i made. The script worked so when I opened a
contact the script would run and convert it to the new template. This
worked very well.
My current issue is that when I try to modify a distribution list, outlook
shows the dl as a contact instead. I can send emails to the dl and
everything is fine. The only time the problem occurs is when I try to
modify the DL.
Since all my old contacts have been converted to the new custom template, I
don't mind removing the script if that's what it takes.

You only need to modify the message class for a contact once so there is
definitely no reason to keep running whatever it is you have installed
(unless you have not changed the default message class for the folder to
reflect the new custom form so that it's automatically used).

As for your Dist List - the description sounds that it simply does a "blind
change" of the message class without first checking if it is in fact a
contact item (Dist List message class is IPM.DistList. Simple way to
correct this would be to change your current script to change the msg class
to the correct message class and then just ONLY open the DL. Once done -
close the DL and immediately get rid of your script.
