Default Deleting blank entries in 2003

somehow I now have a gazillion (give or take 1 or 2) blank contacts. I have
tried deleting them, moving them to another folder, sorting, changing file as
so my contacts are filed by last name, etc. and nothing works - they are
still there when I reopen Outlook.

any suggestions?

A bit of information might help. Where you see these Contacts and how you
created them would be starting point. So would why you can't delete them and
what happens when you try. State how recently you did a thorough virus check
and what add-ins you have running.

okay sorry last time i did a post I put in lots of information and got told
not to put so much in

The blank contacts are in Contacts / My Contacts / Contacts
I'm not sure how they were created. I was on holidays and someone else was
using my computer. I think she created some v-cards would that have caused
these blanks to appear?
Not sure what your next question means but To delete them I click on the
first one to highlight it and then hold shift and cursor until all are
highlighted. I click delete and nothing happens. It doesn't ask me to
verifiy deleted items. My cursor is still blinking so I close Outlook and
reopen it hoping they will have disappeared. The blank contacts are still
there.
VIrus check is done every morning as soon as I boot up my computer.
I don't know what Add-Ons I have - I have automatic update installed so I
don't even see the updates.

So you have no idea how these Contact Records got there? Are more of them
being created without your interaction? Are you using Exchange Server or a
local data file?

Then use the Inbox Repair Tool to repair it and try to come up with better
information on the steps that created your problem
