How do I permanently remove the "File As" column from my "Contacts" list?
When I remove it via the "Customize Current View", it reappears at the next viewing. -- Ray |

I find that the easiest way to manipulate table views in Outlook is to use
the Field Chooser and Group By Box. These are both on the Advanced Toolbar. Turn it on View | Toolbars. The Field Chooser will show fields - you can drag them onto the By Category table and drop them beside other colun headers (eg Company) You can also remove fields by dragging them to the Field Chooser. You may need to reset the views if they are not holding their settings. I think there's a command line switch to reset views. I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
