I would like to merge two Outlook distribution lists. Outlook "help"
does not address this, so I don't know if it is even possible to do.

Export them both into separate CSVs using techniques already described in
this newsgroup, combine those CSVs, then import them into a new DL.

I have Outlook 2003 and was able to make a new DL by adding existing DLs to it. I did this by selecting the DL from the SELECT MEMBERS option then clicking Contacts from the Show names from drop down list. Then just click on the DLs to add them to the new one. The only thing is that I have not tested this method. It looks like it would work. Can someone try this?

DLs can, of course, be nested. There really is no need to expand the
subsets when you include them in another DL.

If I do this, is there a way to expand the subsets? I'd like to have one
alphabetical list without having to check all the subsets.

Expand them where?
