I'm not sure if this is possible but I received an email with over 100
recipients in the "to" field. I want to create a distribution list from those recipient names but cannot figure out how. Any ideas? Thanks for your time; I appreciate it. |

Version of Outlook?
If the people are in your contacts already or the list includes many email addresses (as the display names) Copy the list from the To line, open a dl form and click select members paste the list into the Members field at the bottom. Entries that are name only will attempt to resolve to your contacts and any not in your contacts will need to fixed. You can also open the message header and copy the names from the To line of the header. They should all resolve unless there are commas or other odd characters separating the names - just remove the commas and all should resolve. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "rrupp" wrote in message ... Sorry, Office 2003, but yes, this worked. I tried to copy in a different
area and it didn't work but per your instructions in the Members field, this did work. Thank you very much. "Diane Poremsky" wrote: Version of Outlook?
