Sort order in display field
Fitz, my apologies at the type of response(s) you are getting from Russ. This is not user error and his (lack of) attempt to help should not be implying that it is.
This is a known issue in which the 'display as' value for email addresses does not comform to the user-established preferences for sorting contacts. There's not a fix yet for it and contrary to Russ's claim that nobody can reproduce it, everyone else is having the same problem. Sort order in display field
Please post accurately next time. The question is how to sort the Outlook
Address Book. The Email Display As field is not in play here since the Outlook Address Book does not and cannot sort on that field. There are and always have been only two ways to sort the Outlook Address Book: 1. First, Last 2. File As.... -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "David Carr" wrote in message ... I shall also request that you refrain from posting in this group until you
have accurate information to post. Posting inaccurate information in a newsgroup can do a lot of harm.
