I have many contacts with titles (Mr., Mrs., Ms.) included.
When sorting these contacts use the title rather than the name. Is there a way to remove the title from ultiple contacts at the same time? When sending emails, I would like to display both the recipient's name and email address. Is there a way to update the Display As field for multiple contacts at the same time rather than one at a time? Thank you for your help. |

You really want to remove the Titles from the database? Wouldn't it make
more sense just to sort your view the way you want? Outlook will sort a view however to tell it to. Unless you can find someone who has written the code to do so, you cannot change the Display As field globally from the GUI. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "kiawah" wrote in message ... Mr. Valentine,
Thank you for this information. I have sorted it by Last Name, but this adds another column limiting viewing space (I would like to see full names). Once again, is there a way to remove the title from multiple contacts at the same time? It would not be a problem if I had perhaps 100 contacts, but I have over 1400. As for the Display As field, I don't know anyone who has written code for this change (I don't suppose many OL users do). Perhaps you could send this as a suggestion for the next OL update. Here are the ways to make global changes to your Contacts:
