I maintain several folders in my Contact list. When I choose Add to Outlook
Contacts from the shortcut menu I cannot choose which contact folder to place an address in. It always goes in the default Contacts folder and then I have to remember to move the contact to the correct folder. Is there a setting somewhere that I can configure that will allow me to choose which contacts folder I want to use when I use the shortcut menu? Thank you. |

No, but you can use the File | Move to Folder command instead of Save and Close to tell Outlook which folder to save the new contact in.

Brian,
Thank you. That is definitely easier. That will save a lot of work. |

Sue,
If I wanted to program this functionality into the shortcut menu, would this be possible? Are there add-ins that do this already that you are aware of? BTW-Saw your site for the first time yesterday. Nice website. Thank you. |

The context menu for a recipient is not exposed to developers. You'd have to hack it down at the Windows level.

Sue,
Thank you. You just saved me a whole bunch of time and money as I was thinking about writing a Outlook plugin to do this. Thank you. |
