Any known issues with "sender in Address Book" rules?
I recently moved to Outlook 2003 in cached Exchange mode. I'm having funny
problems with rules, mainly ones which act if the "sender is in the specified Address Book" and move the message to a specific folder. I've given up on having the rules actually fire upon message receipt, but I could get by if they work when I fire them manually. However, I've got messages that won't get picked up by the rule. I've re-added the contact from the message and moved said contact to the appropriate address book - and the message is still ignored. This, even though SOME messages from the same contact might actually get recognized and moved by the rule. At first, I thought it might be the difference between Exchange contacts and other contacts - but I do have some Exchange contacts that correctly get found in the appropriate Address book and moved. If it has to do with differences between the types of contacts being received, so far it's been to subtle for me to find. At this point, I'd be happy just to hear "forget it, it won't work", so I can stop wasting my time. Otherwise, I'll be happy to check any and all options that folks might want to know. |
